THE REQUIREMENT
The client, a recycling company, needed space to store waste, prior to reprocessing, out of the elements. Ventilation was required, to avoid the build-up of unpleasant and potentially dangerous gases within the structure whilst waste was stored.
With limited yard space available due to the need to maintain traffic operations, the structure needed to be long and narrow to ensure free flow of yard traffic, with primary access access through the side, close to one end of the building, and secondary access to a machine storage area in the opposite gable end.
OUR SOLUTION
We provided the client with a non-standard, reduced (7.5m) span version of our M-line modular building with bracing moved to accommodate a personnel door and shutter in the gable, along with two ventilated shutters towards the far end of the 30m side. This has given the client the safe storage they need, with a configuration that suits their traffic operations.
