THE REQUIREMENT
Our client, a manufacturer of laminate products, required the maintenance of a high temperature during one stage of production for a particular item. Heating the entire production area to this temperature would have been highly impractical, extremely expensive, and very uncomfortable for their employees. A segregated area was the best solution, though something purpose built would be not only expensive, but difficult to move, whilst a traditional marquee structure would not provide the longevity or rigidity the client wanted.
OUR SOLUTION
Our solution was to utilise one of our event marquee structures using 5m bays, the 10 x 15m unit pictured slotting neatly into the area already demarcated within the factory. Rather than canvas sides, we gave the client the rigid and more aesthetically appealing structure they wanted by using trapezoidal steel cladding. Finally, to allow easy access for both personnel and materials on pump trucks, whilst maintaining correct temperature and letting in plenty of light, we installed made-to-measure medium gauge transparent strip curtains in both central side bays.
