THE REQUIREMENT
The client, a roller bearing manufacturer, was in the process of modernising their plant and wanted a well-insulated facility that could be utilised for both storage and production, the latter requiring integrated smoke and fume extraction. With rapid throughput of parts, speedy forklift access was essential, without continuously being obliged to leave standard industrial doors open.
OUR SOLUTION
Roder won the contract for the building because our M-line building, equipped with a fleece-lined thermal roof and ISO cladding, offers similar insulation properties to that of a solid roofed structure at a fraction of the cost, whilst allowing in natural light to both reduce energy consumption and improve the working environment.
In addition, our integral ventilation flaps within the gables provide smoke and fume extraction at minimal cost without encroaching into the internal space. Finally, speed doors were fitted in both one side bay and the gable to allow rapid forklift access.
