THE REQUIREMENT
The client, a builder’s merchant, was facing a shortage of storage space and needed room to contain certain items out of the elements, whilst other stock had to be stored on racking, all of which had been utilised inside their existing building.
The yard was long, but relatively narrow, meaning access would need to be through the side of a modular building placed at one side of the yard to allow for loading and unloading. Double access was needed for the efficiency of yard operations, as was lighting for working during darkness in the winter months.
OUR SOLUTION
We built the client an S-line warehouse with bracing moved from each second bay to the centre to accommodate shutter doors exactly where needed, and personnel access directly adjacent to that of their existing main building.
The warehouse has steel cladding for added security and is equipped with LED lighting to ensure operations after dark with the minimum of extra cost. Lastly, our install team made sure the structure was as close as possible to the boundary, making best possible use of the available yard space.
