Beverage Warehouse
Building: H-Line
Dimensions: 30m Span / 60m Long / 5.2m Eave Height
Cladding: 60mm ISO in RAL 7016 with Solid Gables
Roof: Thermal
THE REQUIREMENT
The client, a large beverage wholesaler, required storage space for peak period stock, prior to despatch. It was important to maintain a lower ambient temperature in summer to preserve the stock, and keep the temperature above freezing in the winter to avoid damaging the bottles.
With inadequate yard space available, a base would need to be installed to accommodate the new structure on site, at a reasonable cost.
OUR SOLUTION
To minimise the cost of groundworks, concrete bases were installed beneath each baseplate, and where the shutters would be located, with the main base infilled with tarmac to provide a level footing for pallet stacking.
To ensure minimum thermal bridging, the H-line building installed was equipped with 60mm ISO cladding, including solid ISO gables, in a special colour scheme requested by the client. The standard thermal roof went further to minimise running costs whilst maintaining ambient temperature, whilst forklift access is via two insulated shutters, again in a special colour, RAL 1021.
